A typical Day With Your POCH Recovery Nurse!
When one of our experienced Critical Care Nurses arrives for their eight-hour POCH program shift, they provide comprehensive care that extends beyond the clinical, ensuring your complete focus remains on recovery. The shift begins with essential clinical care and vital sign observations, including monitoring your surgical site, drains, and pain levels, and expertly handling your medication management to ensure timely and correct dosing. They meticulously adhere to the instructions of your surgeon, actively assisting you with any prescribed tasks, such as gentle physiotherapy or walking exercises.
To keep your home environment optimal for healing, they take care of light housekeeping and cleaning duties within your immediate recovery area. Furthermore, your nurse acts as a personal support coordinator, seamlessly running errands, taking and making calls for you, and even assisting you by attending medical appointments. Finally, they help maintain your well-being and home harmony by feeding and playing with your pets, allowing you to rest easy knowing every detail is managed.
